Rob and Holly are the husband and wife team behind Sweet Life Sauce Company. Our two signature sauces, Sweet Life BBQ Sauce which is our mild BBQ sauce, and Spice of Life BBQ Sauce, the spicy cousin to Sweet Life compliment a wide variety of meats. From the staples of hot dogs and hamburgers while tailgating at the race or chicken grilled on the backyard grill, to shrimp, lightly grilled and charred and finished with our mouthwatering Sweet Life BBQ Sauce, Sweet Life Sauce Company has you, and your meats covered.
You want a few recipes to dazzle your buddies with at the track? Here is a favorite of ours that will sure add to the excitement already building for the echo of those famous words at the start of the race. Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers! Simply cut the tops off of as many Jalapeno Peppers as you want, clean out the seeds and membranes from inside…unless you are like our family that really likes some heat and leave the seeds and membranes.
Prepare a mixture of cream cheese and our Sweet Life BBQ Sauce; you will need about 2 teaspoons per Pepper. Find yourself a Ziploc Bag, or a plastic shopping bag, or if you are really slick, grab your wife’s or Mom’s Cake Decorating Piping Bag from the house before you rush out. Place the Sweet Life BBQ Sauce and Cream Cheese mixture into the piping bag you invented and fill all of your Jalapeno Peppers with this mixture.
Now it’s time to get these tasty filled peppers to the heat and get them happy. Place the peppers on your smoker or grill and heat them until you find the peppers starting to soften. They are really tasty if you can get a little charring on the outsides. Bring them off the heat and place them out with a warning to your friends and family that they are HOT and get ready for a flavor and heat explosion in your mouth! We’ve had a lot of fun with this recipe at the track and at home.
Here is an easy recipe for Bike Week or Biketoberfest in Daytona. Enjoy a juicy ½ pound hamburger, grilled and charred to perfection on your favorite, lightly toasted bun, a piece of aged Swiss Cheese, a pile of caramelized sweet onions, and a big dollop of our Spice of Life BBQ Sauce. A perfect combination of meaty, saucy goodness! MMMM…mmmm…MMM! If you can, get your hands on some of that cole slaw they use at The Cabbage Patch and you will have yourself and incredible meal to share…your call on getting the cole slaw before or after the first round bell goes off.
Please come see Rob and Holly at the Sanford Farmers market on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A great little ride down from Daytona along C-15 through Osteen. Pick up a few Sweet Life Sauce Company sauces there or through our website. Both Holly and Rob can give you some wonderful pairings for Sweet Life Sauce Company sauces and ideas for dazzling your friends and family.
